Flame cutting

Flame cutting is the Oxymetal Group’s long-standing area of expertise. Since 1984, this technology has driven the Group’s growth and remains one of its key areas of industrial expertise.

Designed for cutting heavy-gauge steel, theflame cutting is used to produce metal parts for a wide range of industrial sectors, including construction, energy, industrial machinery and equipment, agricultural, rail, and specialty machinery.

Technology designed for thick materials

Theflame cutting is used to cut standard and special steels with thicknesses ranging from 8 to 260 mm. This capability makes it possible to meet specific requirements for robust, large-format parts or those subject to significant mechanical stress.

At Oxymetal, this expertise is part of our industrial production approach, particularly for mass-produced parts or recurring orders. Common steel grades are available from stock to ensure material availability and production responsiveness.

Materials, Traceability, and Specific Requirements

Depending on the customer’s needs, Oxymetal can also work with specific grades or special sizes. These requests are subject to a tailored analysis, particularly with regard to sourcing, feasibility, traceability, and documentation.

Depending on the requirements specified in the order, products may be accompanied by additional documentation or inspections, such as material certificates, certificates of conformity, ultrasonic testing, TÜV inspections, mechanical testing, or other quality assurance documentation.

Inspection and Compliance of Oxy-Fuel Cut Parts

The geometric tolerances applicable toflame cutting are defined in accordance with the NF EN ISO 9013 standard. This standard provides a framework for cutting quality and dimensional compliance requirements based on the characteristics of the parts produced.

From raw material to shipment, flame cutting operations are integrated into the Oxymetal Group’s industrial and quality procedures. This organization ensures production monitoring, batch traceability and the compliance of delivered parts with the requirements defined with the customer.
